The waves were really rough, so we didn't really swim in the ocean. But the beach was still fun. There were Portuguese man-of-wars all over the beach because the storm was washing them in. I had never seen these in person before, so it was pretty cool to finally see some. They are a jellyfish that will give a pretty powerful sting. They can make you pretty sick, even after they are washed up. So, we were all careful to avoid them.
The kids had a really good time playing on the beach in the sand. Everyone built sand castles. These pictures were taken the day we arrived, before the rain hit.
